in conversation with Patricia Myers OBE

Ben Whishaw will take to the OT stage in a one-off interview.

In a wide-ranging conversation, Ben will offer a unique insight into his astonishing career. This includes being one of the youngest actors to portray Hamlet on stage in Trevor Nunn’s 2004 production, starring in the 2022 BBC and AMC medical drama This Is Going to Hurt and voicing Paddington Bear in Paddington and Paddington 2. Ben will also be taking questions from the audience at the end. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear from one of the UK’s most talented actors.

Ben will be in conversation with Patricia Myers OBE. After roles in teaching, theatre management, and as Assistant Chief Officer for Entertainment in local government, Patricia went on to become the Registrar and part of the senior management team at RADA for 25 years, where she nurtured thousands of actors across the years, including Ben Whishaw.

We are incredibly grateful to Ben and Patricia for giving up their time to support us in this way, and to our audiences, who, through their attendance, make our Under the Orange Tree fundraising events so successful, and help support the work we do.

£60 with a glass of fizz on arrival

There will be a limited number of  £30 tickets for Under 30s released on Friday 19 January at 3pm.

As an independent theatre producing all its own work and operating without Arts Council funding, we need to raise at least £500,000 each year through fundraising.

Every ticket sold to this event supports our wide-ranging programme, including our work with 10,000 young people each year.
