The Man of Mode (1984)

Directed by Sam Walters, with a cast including Liz Crowther, Richard E. Grant and David Timson, this production of George Etherege’s The Man of Mode was played in modern dress, with brightly coloured tracksuits and leg warmers for the cast.
A Restoration comedy written in 1676, the play follows a libertine in Restoration London as he tries to win over a young heiress whilst simultaneously disengaging himself from another affair.
