We have made the difficult decision to close the Orange Tree Theatre and cancel any performances until further notice. We are saddened to say that this includes Youth Theatre, Young Company and all other upcoming participatory projects.
Thank you all for your support in these uncertain times and we hope you all keep safe and well in the meantime. If you have any quereies at all, please contact Izzy on [email protected]
We will hoepfully be running two summer schools for 7 - 11 and 12 - 16 yr olds this year and we would love to invite your children to come and take part in this exciting and fun week of theatre-making!
Each group will work with their Summer School leaders to create a performance for the end of the week which they will perform in the main theatre space to each other, as well as family and friends at 3pm on the Saturday of the week
The week will involve meeting new people and working together on rehearsing and workshopping ideas as a group, gaining inspiration from an exciting trip during the week, and having fun making a piece of theatre together! There may also be some stage management, costume and design opportunities as well – it’s a really exciting and fun week! No experience is necessary to take part.
Places will be offered on a first come first served basis and you can book your place by calling Izzy Cotterill in our Education & Participation team 020 8940 0141 on the following dates:
This is an inclusive course so if your young person has any additional needs, please speak to us when booking to discuss how we can help meet their needs during the summer school week.
The cost for the Summer School week is £250 for the week (£200 for an additional sibling to take part). Please note that this cost is non-refundable. Bursary places are available as we don’t want cost to be a barrier in taking part in this project – if you would like more information on this, please let us know so we can send you more information on applying for a bursary place.
For any general enquiries in the meantime, please contact Izzy Cotterill at [email protected]
