Orange Tree Youth Theatre

For anyone age 7-19, our Youth Theatre is an opportunity to explore and create, meet new people and learn new skills.

Classes

Monday 7-9pm Young Company 16-19 years old (by audition)
Tuesday 6.30-8.30pm 11-14 years old
Wednesday 7-9pm 14-16 years old
Thursday 7-9pm 12-14 years old
Saturdays 9-11am 9-11 years old
Saturdays 11.30am-1.30pm 7-9 years old

The dates for the spring term are week commencing 9 January – 20 March. Half term is 13 February - 19 February.

To join the waiting list, complete the form below or phone the Education and Paticipation department on 020 8940 0141. Places can often take a while to become available, but please rest assured that you will be contacted as soon as there is space for your child.

Summer Schools
The Orange Tree run two week-long summer schools every year with a performance in the theatre at the end of the week. There is one for 7 to 11 year-olds and one for 12 to 16 year-olds. The participants have the opportunity to work towards their Arts Award as part of the course.

Young Technicians
We have a limited number of places available on our Young Technicians course that runs from September - July. Learn about lighting, sound and stage management with members of our production team and work with one of our Youth Theatre groups on their end of year performance. Young Company
The Young Company is for 16 to 19 year-olds who have a keen interest in theatre. Sessions take place in the Autumn and Spring terms. Auditions for our 2017/18 Young Company will take place in September, if you would like to book a place, please contact Corinne Meredith corinne.meredith@orangetreetheatre.co.uk

National Theatre Connections
For the past four years the Orange Tree Theatre Connections Company has taken part in National Theatre Connections. In 2013 we performed Forty Five Minutes by Anya Reiss at the Orange Tree and Greenwich Theatre, and in 2014 we performed Dafydd James' Heritage at the Orange Tree and Soho Theatre, in 2015, Remote by Stef Smith here and at the Bush Theatre and in 2016 for Connections 500 we performed Bassett by James Graham.
