23 November 2020 – 23 November 2020
On Monday 23 November at 1.30pm Flute Theatre are live streaming their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream created especially online for an autistic participant. We’d like to invite you to observe the performance and take part in a Q&A afterwards.
For just £10 you can log on to watch this special performance that began as a co-production with us that first appeared at the Orange Tree in 2017.
Flute Theatre's Artistic Director Kelly Hunter MBE says: "We are offering a rare opportunity to watch a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream online. In response to COVID-19 the performance will take place via zoom and we will be performing interactively with one autistic individual. You can watch as a silent observer and take part after the performance in a Q&A to find out how we have adapted our work to be accessible during the pandemic.
The show is experienced through sensory games, musical, funny and physical; each game creating a different dream, shared between actors and participants. Through these dream games we share the eyes of Titania, the ears of Bottom, the hands of Puck and the hearts of the lovers."
The performance lasts for about 60 minutes, followed by a Q&A with Kelly and the cast, where you can ask your own questions.
